Ridgid / HALO Setup Steps (Same Module for Both Brands)

Before starting, please have your Wi-Fi password handy. We’ll need it during the setup process.

Step 1: Factory Reset the Pump

Locate the "Pump Health" button on the power cord of your RIDGID pump. Press and hold the button until the light cycles through the following colors: Blue, Green, Yellow, Red. Once the light turns red, release the button. Then, press the button once quickly to complete the reset.

If the reset was successful:

  • You should hear the pump run briefly (a couple of short cycles).
  • All the lights on the Smart Strip will turn on.

This step puts the pump into Setup Mode.

Step 2: Download the RIDGID App

If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, use the following links according to your device:

Make sure your phone has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.

Step 3: Check for Pump’s Setup Signal

On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and look for a network that starts with: ww-halo-xxxxx (the exact name varies, the X's represent a series of letters and numbers).

Do not connect to it. Just seeing it confirms the pump is in setup mode.

Step 4: Connect the Pump in the App

Open the RIDGID Smart Sump app, tap "Add a Device," and select "1000RSDSSMART" (RIDGID) or the corresponding HALO model, depending on your pump. When prompted, allow the app to access your camera and scan the QR code located on the pump. Ensure the area is well-lit and hold your phone steady while scanning.

Step 5: Enter Your Home Wi-Fi Password

Once connected, select your home Wi-Fi network in the app. A screen titled "Confirm Network Credentials" will appear. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap "Next".

After this step, the pump should complete the connection process. You may hear a short test cycle—this indicates successful setup.

Final Step: Close the App

After successfully setting up your pump, close the RIDGID Smart Sump app completely on your phone. This helps ensure the app fully refreshes and recognizes the new settings.
